Info about what the FPGA Software Engineer role entails

 

I am looking for an FPGA Software Engineer to design and develop FPGA logic in VHDL and embedded software in C++ for advanced audio and wireless products. You’ll be solving complex FPGA challenges including timing constraints, clock domain crossings, and software defined radio implementations. Hands-on experience with Xillinx of Efinix FPGAs will be essential
 

Essential Requirements of a FPGA Software Engineer

 

  • Proven experience developing FPGA logic in VHDL for production hardware
  • Strong background in timing constraints, resolving timing issues and clock domain crossings
  • Experience with Xilinx toolchains (Vivado, Vitis), Including Aurora and GTs
  • Familiarity with Efinix FPGAs (Efinity toolchain and Titanium parts)
  • Embedded C++ development for Linux or RTOS environments

 

Desirable Requirements of a FPGA Software Engineer

 

  • Experience with software-defined radio (SDR)
  • Familiarity with device drivers and hardware-level protocols (I2C, SPI, UART)
  • Knowledge of RF systems of professional audio is a plus
  • Ability to adapt and reuse existing code to meet project needs
