My Clients are part of a Global Group of companies operating in the Audio sector containing some of the most prestigious brands in the business. They design and manufacture professional audio equipment that has been used on the sets of Oscar-winning Hollywood sets. Equipment is ruggedized to be able to withstand some of the harshest environments on the planet.

 

 

Info about what the Mechanical Engineer entails

 

The Mechanical Engineer will have the following responsibilities:

 

  • Conceptualization and execution of mechanical design for novel product initiatives
  • Development and delineation of electromechanical junctions and PCB perimeters
  • Engineering of mechanical elements to adhere to specified performance benchmarks
  • Facilitating the monitoring of materials, mechanical components, BOMs, and subassemblies for the product innovation team
  • Preservation and modification of extant CAD designs, along with the implementation of ECNs as warranted
  • Detection and management of components with extended procurement periods
  • Execution of product validation through both destructive and non-destructive methodologies
  • Provision of manufacturing support for both emergent and existing product lines

 

 

Requirements of the Mechanical Engineer

 

  • Minimum of 4 years relevant experience
  • Knowledge of mechanics, materials, and mechanical components
  • Experience in engineering mechanical systems with integrated electronic modules meeting various IP ratings
  • Understanding of techniques and tools for mass-producing mechanical parts
  • Over 2 years of experience with 3D CAD tools (preferably Autodesk Inventor)
  • Skilled in using a mill, drill press, lathe, and other light machining tools for prototyping
  • Design experience with forming, extruding, laser-cutting, injection molding, machining, anodizing, plating, powder coating, and 3D printing
